This is no ordinary charcoal grill. The Rodeo PRO Kettle contains a heavy gauge steel charcoal grate that holds the charcoal above the bottom of the bowl of the grill. The stainless steel heat diffuser sits in the center of the charcoal grate. Its main purpose is to radiate the heat generated by the charcoal up into the chamber.
